The Marlborough Sounds have been described as one of the most spectacular sites in the World. If you have not visited them before you are in for a real treat. Your day starts with a twenty minute bus trip from Blenheim to Picton where you will board one of Cougar Lines vessels and embark on a trip accentuated by birdsong, native bush and breathtaking views, visiting Ships Cove, the Bay of Many Coves, the Lazy Fish and Mistletoe Bay before being transported back to Blenheim. Friday Tour Sold Out.
The festival, on November 4, features wine tastings from 16 Marlborough wineries and ticket-holders can choose to mix and mingle after the event at a barbecue put on by the Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds hotel.
Bread and cheese will be available to accompany the wines.
Wineries scheduled to showcase at the festival include: St Clair, Fromm, Georges Michel, Huia, State Landt, Nautilus Estate, Auntsfield Estate, Lake Chalice, Seresin Estate, Mt Riley, Rock Ferry, Twin Rivers, Hunters and Evergreen.
Tickets cost $25 and are available from Sounds Connection, phone 5738843.

Wednesday 14th October
Sounds Connection were given the opportunity to visit the newly opened Omaka Classic Cars on Wednesday 14th October, a show case display of classic cars from the 1950′s – 1980′s, with over a 100 cars in Ron & Noeline’s collection and with half of these on display for us to see it was a trip down memory lane for most. We were also taken out to their workshop for a behind the scenes view of some of the cars that were being worked on.
Great opportunity for blokes and ladies to have a look at this stunning ranges of classic cars and learn about some of the impressive history behind some of these cars.

Sounds Connection hosted an Icon Adventurer in NZ Graeme Sinclair and his support crew.A great time was had by all and a good range of fish was caught. A Scallop dredge on the way home was successful and Le Cafe Picton cooked all the Seafood on Film to perfection.
